- I am a mixed media artist residing in Virginia.
- FREEDOM, POSSIBILITY, VARIATION, EXPLORATION, DISCOVERY are the words that come to mind when I think of my creative practice.
- My creative journey is about letting the art emerge as I freely explore techniques and materials.
- I am a wife and mother of three children. Two boys and one girl.
- My favorite color is Chartreuse. I have named the specific shade I love “Electric Spring”
- Abstraction appeals to me be because there are no limits.
- I studied fine art as an undergrad at Norfolk State University in Norfolk Virginia.
- In 2001 I completed my graduate studies at Norfolk State and Old Dominion Universities through their, at that time, joint MFA program.
- Journaling and book arts are passions that I continue to explore in my art.
- My favorite seasons of the year are spring and fall.
- When it comes to art and life, I don’t need to have all the answers. I just do the work and focus on the joy of creating and how it fulfills me.
