Distressed Handmade Journal with Beads

Description

This journal is from my distressed layers journal series. It is filled with my original art and features a distressed, grunge style with perfectly imperfect handcrafted touches.
The cover is hand painted and is made from 3 layers of distressed and sewn together brown paper bag. The flexible cover makes it possible for this chunky journal to expand as more elements are added. The pages are elastic bound making them easy to remove and rearrange as you like. The cover has a black elastic closure. Glass beads are featured on the elastic closure and spine elastic.
The pages inside are brown paper shopping bags, Arches watercolor paper, vellum, artist drawing paper printed with distressed grid and lines, hand painted pages, tags, removable collage clusters and cardstock die cut pages. Many pages feature playful, messy machine stitching.
There are three signatures with 96 pages (front and back).
Journal measurements: 4.5″ wide, 9″ tall, 1.5″ spine.
The inside back cover of the journal is signed and lists the date of completion.
